2025 IELA Academic Division Award Winners Announced at ICL 2025 in Budapest
Budapest, Hungary (October 6, 2025) - The International E-Learning Association (IELA) announced the winners of its 2025 Academic Division Awards on Friday, October 3rd, 2025. IELA President Dr. David Guralnick revealed the honorees during the final day of the 28th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL 2025), hosted at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
The International E-Learning Awards celebrate global excellence in online learning, recognizing organizations and professionals who are shaping the future of workplace learning and higher education through creativity, research, and technology-driven approaches. All submissions are carefully evaluated by the IELA’s Awards Committee, which considers a variety of attributes including educational soundness and effectiveness, user experience, and overall significance.

The Academic Division honors school and university courses, and software tools designed to support the creation of academic courses. This year’s Gold and Silver Winners include:

Online Learning Experience: “Engineering Empowerment: Virtual Factory Simulations for Skill Enhancement” by Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico)
Online Learning Experience: “Gut Microbiota Simulator: An Interactive VR Tool to Explore the Impact of Lifestyle on Health” by Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico)
